We’re excited that you are interested in helping to start a fresh new church in the South Florida area.

The Growing Church is a new church launching in South Broward County (Hollywood Coastal Area).

We realize that many people are looking to be part of a fresh new expression of God’s love to this community – and perhaps God is leading you to be a part of our launch team.

“What is a launch team?”
A “launch team” is a team of people committed to assisting the lead pastor in strategic planning, preparation, and team building for the church launch. Church planting is a “team sport,” and people of all ages play a vital role within the team – adults, students, teenagers, and children.

As we gear up for this strategic launch, we are thrilled to be meeting new friends who share in our vision to fulfill the mission of Jesus Christ for His Church today. That’s why over the next few months, we will be offering “connection meet and greet” gatherings once a month – providing a casual opportunity for folks to meet with the leadership team and learn more about our vision.

These connection gatherings, or “interest” meetings, are a great time to meet new friends, get acquainted with our leadership team, ask questions about our church, and find out how you can be involved in this exciting journey of faith.

“Can I bring my children?”
Absolutely! We love children and have accommodations for them at the interest meetings. They will even have a blast!

At The Growing Church, we talk a great deal about getting the right people on board to fulfill this awesome vision God has given us. So then, an appropriate question is: Who are the ‘right’ people for our launch team?

What denomination is The Growing Church?
The Growing Church is an autonomous, self-governing fellowship of Christ-followers. We are not opposed to denominations, we have just chosen to be a interdenominational church and welcome everyone regardless of their background.

Where is your meeting place?
We meet at Pastor Erik Websters apartment to get together and prepare for our preview services in the final quarter of 2010 and our official start in January 2011.

Do I need to dress up?
Only if you want to. Our overall environment is casual and relaxed; we’ve been referred to as the “Blue Jeans” church. Most people dress casually at The Growing Church and everyone dresses comfortably, so wear what you like.

What is the atmosphere like?
At our church, you’ll find real people – in other words, people just like you. It is not about a building, a place, or an organization – our church is about people! Some words that describe the people at The Growing Church are “friendly, real, open, authentic, committed, and loving.” Come as you are, and be yourself!
